                        What We Believe:

Walk In the Word Website Sidebar

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God.

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is God and man. He was conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary.

We believe in the person and power of the Holy Spirit; we believe that He is still at work for the glory of God.

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit by believing and acknowledging that Jesus is Lord and Savior, can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

We believe in the gifts of the Spirit for the perfecting of the saints.

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and through this process we become the children of God.

We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the church during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation.

We believe that the true church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are unified together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head.

We believe in the person and pre-millennial and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this “Blessed Hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

We believe in the transformed bodily resurrection of the dead: The believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, of the unbeliever to judgment and the everlasting punishment.

We believe marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime.

We believe children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord. Parents are to demonstrate to their children God’s pattern for marriage, parents are to teach their children spiritual and moral values and to lead them, through consistent lifestyle example and loving discipline, to make choices based on biblical truth. Children are to honor and obey their parents.

We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a holy sacrament. We serves the Lord’s Supper as we are led by the Holy Spirit.  We do not want this sacrament to become ritual as to “go through the motions” without remembering the Lord’s death.  We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a gift for everyone to experience. We want to remember the meaning. We view this special table as the Lord’s welcome table and invite you into our time of observing the Lord’s Supper.
